Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal screened in open space in Salem

Yennai-Arindhaal-Movie-Posters-82-e1424407381278Video piracy hit a new low when two persons were arrested by the Police in Salem for screening in open space in a make-shift screen their matinee Ajith Kumar’s latest film Yennai Arindhaal for the benefit of local people.

Yennai Arindhaal, which is in its third week in theatres, has been predicted by trade pundits to end up as Ajith’s biggest success in his career. Gautham Vasudev Menon has directed Ajith for the first time in the film which also has Ajith opposite Anushka for the first time. Trisha, Vivek and Arun Vijay have essayed prominent roles in the film which has music by Harris Jayaraj.

Police received complaints that during a temple festival in Salem, screening of Ajith’s latest film Yennai Arindhaal in open space and in a make-shift screen was arranged.

The complaint was lodged by Balasubramanian, who is from Ayngaran Films, Salem which had taken up the film’s distribution. “Screening was going on in an open space in front of Jagireddipatti Mariamman Temple in Salem,” he stated in his complaint.

Policemen visited the spot, conducted investigations, arrested a couple of persons and seized the projector, DVD player and the screen used for screening the film. The ‘open space’ screening of the film has shocked the film’s distributors in the nearby localities.
