Responding to requests from fans to reduce the length of the film by a few minutes, Gautham Vasudev Menon, the director of Ajith Kumar’s latest film Yennai Arindhaal which hit the screens last Thursday, has trimmed down the film by 6 minutes.
The film, which has met with (expected) thunderous response from Ajith’s fans in India and abroad, was lauded by critics and fans who felt that it would be better to reduce the length of the film by a few minutes. Critics said that the first half was a bit dragging; responding to criticisms, Menon has now cut down a few portions in the first half.
The film, which had a length of 2 hours and 48 minutes when it released in theatres last week, has now been pruned down by 6 minutes to run for 2 hours and 42 minutes. Invariably, some of the recent big films have all been very big, running for more than 2 hours and 45 minutes!
