The two V’s of Kollywood – Vishal and Vikram – would be clashing at the box-office next week during Pongal. Vishal’s Sundar C-directed Aambala and Vikram’s Shankar-directed I are slated to release on Pongal. The third film to release would be Darling, a thriller which also marks music director G.V. Prakash Kumar’s debut as hero.
As reported earlier, I is to release in screens all over the world in a grand manner on 14th January. The film is released in many halls in countries such as England and U.S. besides China. Vikram is paired up opposite Amy Jackson in the film which has music by A.R. Rahman. In the making for more than two and a half years, fans have waited long enough to watch the film on screen.
Starring Vishal and Hansika in lead roles, Aambala is produced by Vishal himself. It is touted as a typical Sundar C film with equal doses of action, comedy and romance. Ramya Krishnan, Kiran Rathod and Aishwarya are part of the cast in the film which also has Khushboo appearing for a dance number.
Nikki Galrani is G.V. Prakash Kumar’s heroine in the thriller Darling, which is the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit film Prema Katha Chitram. Ajith Kumar’s Yennai Arindhaal, which was to release on Pongal, has been delayed by a few days and would be releasing on 26th January.
