‘Vaalu’ postponed again

vaalu-movie-posters-1-largeIt has been more than two years since the multi talented actor Silambarasan aka Simbu aka STR was seen in a full fledged role on screen. The last film he was seen playing the lead role as ‘Poda Podi’ that released in 2012. Now the long wait gets close to an end.

Simbu’a long awaited flick ‘Vaalu’ that was kick-started in early 2012 is almost ready for release after so many hiccups. Last week Simbu had tweeted that the film, directed by Vijay Chander will hit the screens on December 24 much to the celebration of his fans in the social networking space.

However there seems to be another postponement now. The film’s producer S.S. Chakravarthy of Nic Arts has tweeted that the film will release as on February 3 which also happens to be the birthday of Silambarasan. Chakravarthy has further said that the final postponement was only because he is completely satisfied that the film has come in an excellent way and wants to release it big.

Since the distributors felt that it will be better to release the film after ‘Lingaa’ that will release on December 12 and ‘Ai’ and ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ which will be the grand Pongal attractions the decision to postpone the film to Feb 2015 has been taken with the consent of its lead actor.

‘Vaalu’ stars Hansika as Simbu’s love interest and Santhanam is there to take care of the comic factor. Thaman has scored the music.
