He might be uttering punch-dialogues at will and bashing up baddies in films but Vijay is certainly not a party animal. The actor’s reclusive attitude came to the fore at the recent birthday party hosted by Kamal Haasan who turned 60 last Friday.
A celebrity who had attended the party caught on his cellphone camera Vijay’s reluctance in breaking into dance with Kamal Haasan and Radhika. Kamal, who inaugurated the ‘Clean India’ campaign on his birthday, threw a lavish party to his close friends from Kollywood at a star hotel in the city. He cut cakes, offered them to Gautami, his live-in partner and to others.
Vijay, who seldom mingles with others during parties, was standing at a corner. Kamal’s evergreen super-hit song Ilamai Idho Idho… from Sakalakalavallavan was played befitting the occasion. Kamal broke into dancing mode and repeated his steps from the film, which released more than 30 years back. He also urged Vijay to join him and dance for few moments but Vijay wouldn’t do so.
Kamal and Radhika’s attempts to make Vijay dance for the song and enjoy the occasion failed to bear fruit. Despite sizzling on-screen with his many dance numbers, Vijay always appears to be very reluctant in shaking a leg or two at public events. This has been proved in the past too!
