Bala watches and congratulates Mysskin’s style of making Pisasu

Pisaasu-PojaiiProducer-director Bala, who is producing director Mysskin’s upcoming film Pisasu, sat for a few hours and watched the latter’s film-making style during the shoot of the film. Bala was mightily impressed and moved by Mysskin’s Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum which released last year and immediately announced that he would be producing Mysskin’s next directorial venture.

Bala and Mysskin are two of a kind in Kollywood: both are film-makers with vastly different styles of film-making. While Bala is keen to make films with a ‘son of the soil’ flavour, Mysskin’s films have always been typical commercial entertainers. Both are film-makers who avoid interference in their scripts by producers. As such, Bala is well aware of this and had been consciously staying away from the shoot of Pisasu.

Mysskin has been keeping things under wraps and hasn’t yet revealed the cast of his film, made as a thriller in Hollywood style. Prayaha from Cochin is the newcomer who debuts as heroine with Pisasu opposite newcomer Naga. Mysskin reportedly saw her in a jewellery advertisement and approached her with the offer to star in the film. Prayaha, student of Mother Teresa College in Cochin, has starred in modeling and dance shows.

Bala heard just a one-liner script from Mysskin before signing him up to make the film. Mysskin reportedly made a request to Bala to come and watch the making of the film on the sets. Bala reluctantly visited the sets so as not to disappoint Mysskin and after watching the latter’s style of film-making, Bala congratulated him and expressed his confidence that the film would turn out to be an enjoyable venture.
