Even after the ‘Arnold Schwarzenegger experience’ it endured in Chennai a few days back, the crew of Shankar’s upcoming film I appears unfazed as it now plans to invite Asia’s pride and Hollywood superstar Jackie Chan to release the audio-launch of the Telugu version of I.
Ravichandran of Aascar Films, who has produced the film reportedly at a cost of Rs.150 crores, plans to release the film in many Indian and foreign languages. The audio-launch of the Tamil version was released in Chennai a few days back when Hollywood’s ‘Mr. Muscle’ Arnold Schwarzenegger left before the audio was launched. Ironically, Arnold was specifically invited to release the audio in superstar Rajinikanth’s presence!
Though the media has not yet stopped writing reams of reports about the ‘Arnold experience’, Ravichandran has decided to invite Jackie Chan for the audio-launch of Telugu version of I to be held in Hyderabad on 02nd October on the eve of ‘Gandhi Jayanti’.
Trade circles say that the Telugu version has been bagged for release and distribution in Andhra Pradesh for a whopping cost of Rs.30 crore. One only hopes that Jacike warms Ravichandran’s heart and doesn’t repeat what Arnold did in Chennai!
