London, Sep 20 (IANS) Pop star Lady Gaga, popular for her outrageous outfits, took style inspiration from Athens’ architecture during her recent tour of the city. Gaga dressed as a caryatid Friday in Athens as she headed to the Olympic Stadium for a performance as part of her tour ArtRave: The Artpop Ball, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The 28-year-old looked angelic in a white gown and a jeweled headdress. She highlighted her eyes with brown eyeliner and coated her lips with nude gloss.
Putting her twist on the sculpted female figure, Gaga’s entablature was made up of three large silver skulls topped with one faux diamond, pearls and five crystals. Similar to the statues, which are used throughout Greek architecture in the place of columns or pillars, Gaga wore her blonde locks down in a braid while slipping into a sheer flowing layered chiffon gown.
The singer also posted two pictures of her outfit on photo-sharing site Instagram.
