Producer Subashkaran has mentioned that the problems that shrouded Vijay starrer Kaththi has been resolved and it will be released for Deepavali as planned.
Kaththi is a new film which has Vijay and Samantha in the lead roles.
This film which has been produced by Sri Lankan Tamil Subashkaran has been directed by A R Murugadoss. Subashkaran is also running a firm called Lyca Cell Phones. Some of the Tamil Organizations accused that Subashkaran had links with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
These organizations also protested that they will not allow Kaththi to be released and because of this problems arose. At this point of time, producer Subashkaran while speaking to the media in Chennai said, “All the problems related to Kaththi have been resolved now. Hence the film will be released for Deepavali has originally planned.
Our production house will continue to produce films. It is now our duty to make some details clear since there were some false allegations against us. I have no connections with Mahinda Rajapaksa. I am a Tamilian and as a Tamilian I have the right to produce a Tamil film.
There is nothing surprising in this. I have nothing to do with politics. There is no necessity for me to produce a film by taking money from Rajapaksa. Our firm’s two day profit can produce a good Tamil film. Our aim is to produce quality Tamil films.
We had earlier produced a Tamil film titled Pirivom Santhippom under the banner Gnanam Productions. The banner has now been changed as Lyca Productions. Kaththi is our second Tamil film.”
