The shooting schedule of Yaan, the debut directorial venture of ace cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, has finally been wrapped up. Produced by Elred Kumar and starring Jiiva and Thulasi Nair (younger daughter of Radha), the film has been in the making for a long time now.
Jiiva, in particular, appears to have been hit hard by the delay in the film’s making. Presuming that the film’s shoot would be delayed further, he would commit himself to shoot for another film. Within a few days, he would get a call from the crew of Yaan to turn up for the shoot. The ego clash between Kumar and Chandran apparently resulted in not planning and adhering to the shooting schedule properly.
A couple of songs remained to be shot and the same was wrapped up a few days back, thereby making Jiiva feel relieved. Jiiva lamended to his close friends (confidentially, though) that though he has starred in many films in the past decade, no film has irritated him with its ill-planned and long shooting schedules like Yaan did.
The crew plans to release the film on 02nd October and is feeling happy that Karthi’s Madras, which was also to release on the same day, has now been preponed to release a week earlier.
