Amidst protest from Kannadiga factions, the shoot of Superstar Rajinikath’s upcoming film ‘Lingaa’ is progressing as planned in various locations in Karnataka.
The film was launched in Mysore and shooting has so far taken place in Mysore, Mandya and Ramnagar under the stewardship of the film’s director K.S.Ravikumar.
Rockline Venkatesh, the producer of the film has assured that the first schedule of the film will last in the state for 40 days as it has been the initial plan and the protestors cannot force them to leave the state.
Meanwhile Bollywood heroine Sonakshi Sinha who is making her debut in Tamil with this film has tweeted that she has completed her part in the first schedule. It is to be remembered that the ‘Dabbang’ actress joined the ‘Lingaa’ shoot right from the day it was launched (May 2).
Sonakshi’s latest tweet says, “A beautiful day as i wrap up the first sched for my first Tamil film #Lingaa with an amazing crew that made me feel right at home :)”. Anushka, who has been roped in as another heroine of the film is expected to join ‘Lingaa’ shoot by the end of May.
Music for ‘Lingaa’ will be scored by A.R.Rahman and Rathanvelu cranks the camera. Rajini plays dual role in the flick whose story has been written by Pon Kumaran.
