Trisha yearning to play a ‘negative’ role in a film

downloadIn her 11th year in the entertainment industry, actress Trisha has an unfulfilled dream. She wants to play a ‘negative role’ on-screen. Going steady in Tamil and Telugu (no mention needs to be made about her forgettable debut in Hindi with Khatta Meetha) films for more than the past ten years, Trisha still finds her in demand.

Not known for her acting prowess like Bollywood’s Vidya Balan or in the mould of actresses such as Suhasini and Revathy, Trisha has completed 10 years by managing to be part of successful films. Her latest Tamil film, Endrendrum Punnagai, has been well-received by the audiences. Considered to be in the twilight of her career, she is all set to make her debut in Kannada films as well.

Trisha has, without feeling tired, played the typical heroine in almost all her films, singing duets with the heroes and doing everything possible in the films to get her hero’s attention. Though she had been screaming from the roof-top that she could do heroine-oriented roles as well, it appears that no producer worth his money is willing to cast her in such a role.

Feeling bored with portraying the same kind of roles all these years, Trisha has now opined that she wants to do different kind of characters. “I would love to play a negative role in a film. I’m hopeful of getting such a role soon enough,” Trisha says confidently.
