Following an attempted attack on her by an youth at her Bandra apartment, Bollywood’s Tamil heroine Shruti Haasan is said to have launched a hunt for a brand new apartment in Mumbai.
Shruti, whose Bollywood market has been steady for close to two years now, hasn’t been staying with her mother Sarika and younger sister Akshara Haasan but has been staying alone at a Bandra apartment in Mumbai.
Shruti faced an unexpected attack by an youth on 19th November. She, however, managed to push him out of the house and lock the door from inside.
The youth, later traced and identified as Ashok by the police, was the same person who had visited the shooting spots of Shruti Haasan’s films in the past. He told police that he never came to attack Shruti Haasan and only wanted her help in securing the post of ‘spot boy’ for his younger brother. Shruti’s friends and relatives then advised her to change her residence.
Shruti, who plays the heroine in Welcome Back now, is presently in Dubai on a long shooting schedule for the film. Prior to leaving for Dubai, Feroze Nadiadwala, the producer of the film, had arranged for 24-hour protection to her by posting a couple of guys outside her residence. Shruti is now said to have alerted her real estate agent to look for a comfortable and suitable apartment in some other locality in Mumbai.
