Siva calls Ajith as ‘doctor’ on the sets of Veeram

veeram-Movie-StillAjith Kumar has his own ways of impressing his co-actors, the technicians, crew members and others connected with the film he stars in at any given time.

Siva, the director of Ajith’s upcoming film Veeram which is to clash with superstar Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan at the box-office in January next year, appears to be the latest entrant to the ‘praise-Ajith’ club.

Ajith and Tamannaah have been paired opposite each other for the first time in this film. Tamannaah, who makes a comeback in Tamil films with Veeram, has almost completed a ‘cycle’ of films opposite top star in Kollywood such as Ajith, Vijay, Suriya, Dhanush and ‘Jayam’ Ravi. Even before Veeram was launched, Siva had hinted amply that the script would be a rural-based one.

Talking about the latest round of shooting schedule of the film, Siva explained about a particular incident which took place in Switzerland. “We were shooting in Swiss recently.

Most of the crew members developed allergic problems in their eyes due to the halogen and other powerful lamps used for the shoot. They couldn’t focus on the job wholly but somehow managed the shoot scheduled for the day.

“The next morning, Ajith woke up early, went to the rooms of each of the crew members and applied eye-drops. A huge star like Ajith need not do this but Ajith is different and the crew members were moved by the concern displayed by Ajith. Ajith’s services made us call him ‘Dr. Ajith’ on the sets. After the eye-drop treatment, all of us felt better and continued to shoot,” concludes Siva.

Vidyulekha Raman, who has an array of big films in her kitty including Vijay’s Jilla and Sripriya’s Malini 22 Palayamkkottai, plays a significant role in Ajith’ Veeram. During the breaks in shoot, Ajith was heard talking to Vidyu and advising her to ‘go slow’ with her film commitments and not to strain herself too much.
