Except for the sole exception of superstar Rajinikanth in mega-hit director Shankar’s super-duper hit Enthiran: The Robot, heroes hardly take up the villain’s role in the same film. Rajini did so and did an excellent job as a villain and even won the Filmfare award for ‘best villain’ for his role as the evil Robot which was finally tamed by the scientist Rajini.
It’s now the turn of ‘Jayam’ Ravi to follow in superstar’s footsteps as he plays the hero and the villain in his upcoming Samuthirakkani-directed Nimirndhu Nil that has him paired up opposite Amala Paul for the first time. The shoot of the film is currently being held in Pollachi.
Ravi plays the hero as well as a villain who is a middle-aged character. Amala Paul would be the hero’s heroine while Kannada starlet and the sexy Ragini Dwivedi would be romancing the villain Ravi in the film. Befittingly, Ragini’s role in the film would also have plenty of grey shades to it.
Sarath Kumar, Suri and television anchor Gopinath would be portraying prominent roles in the film which has music by the newly-wed groom G.V. Prakash Kumar. Vasan Studios is producing the film.
