The shoot of Ajith’s upcoming film has been postponed by a few days keeping in view the proposed fast to be undertaken by the entire Kollywood fraternity to express its solidarity with the striking student community in their struggle for securing the due rights of Tamils in Lanka and for the creation of a separate Tamil Eelam.
All leading actors, including superstar Rajinikanth and ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan, are expected to take part in the protest fast to be held in Chennai on 02nd April. A special pandal is being erected inside the premises housing the building of Nadigar Sangam in Chennai’s Habibullah Road for the purpose.
Ajith is in the finishing stages of the shooting schedule of his Vishnuvardhan-directed Valai (tentative title which might change) co-starring Nayanthara, Arya and Tapasee. Even before the film is completed, Ajith has also signed up his next film to be directed by Siva (of Siruthai fame) which would have the picture-perfect Tamannaah pairing up opposite him. It also signals Tamannaah’s comeback in Tamil films after nearly 2 years.
The film is produced by Vijaya Productions as part of the centenary celebrations of its late founder Nagi Reddy, the veteran film-maker. As Ajith is likely to take part in the above-said fast, the muhurat of the film which was to take place on 01st April in Hyderabad has now been postponed to 05th April (next Friday).
