super-Star-Rajinikanth-as-ConductorAs a proof of his ever-growing stature in the Indian film industry, a lesson has been added on superstar Rajinikanth’s life to the syllabus of Class VI CBSE curriculum. The said lesson in question had reportedly been added to the syllabus more than a couple of years ago and has now been made part of the English course book of the students.

The lesson comes under the category ‘Dignity of Work’ wherein the life of the ‘man of the masses’, who rose from being a Bus conductor to the highest-paid superstar in films in the country, has been narrated in detail. It is apparent that the lesson has been included in the syllabus with a view to developing the students’ self-confidence and the will-to-achieve.

Rajini is apparently cited as a ‘example’ that hard-work always pays its dividends. Rajini, who started off his career as a Bus conductor on the Srinagara – Majestic route in Bangalore , came to Chennai when he was 26 years old and started seeking film offers. He was spotted by veteran K. Balachander who introduced him on-screen for the first time in Apoorva Raagangal.

From character roles, Rajini switched to playing villain in a few films and became a full-fledged hero and his rise has been nothing short of meteoric. The lesson contains info on the travails underwent by Rajini on his road to superstardom, introduction in films, the awards and accolades which came his way and the many good habits he has inculcated in himself over the years.
