The strike by FEFSI seems to be never ending one. Recently, there was Mediation by the Labour Commission also. Even then, this strike continues unofficially.
Movies in Kollywood involve many 100’s of Crores, as it involves actors dates, interest on borrowed finances and many other aspects. Due to continuously pressure increasing strike by FEFSI, Producers of major biggies like Kamal (‘Viswaroobam’), Vijay (‘Thuppakki’), Suriya (‘Maatraan’), Vikram (‘Thaandavam’), Karthi (‘Alex Pandian’) have planned to move on, by restarting their work on their shooting schedules.
Anyhow, this decision to restart their shooting does not resist the striking employees. They have found an interim working solution. That is, they have accepted to pay out certain amount, which matches the Technician’s demands and have got them to work on the condition that, once the strike ends, the amount will be adjusted in their remuneration depending on the outcome of the talks.
Following this temporary solution, there is news that, the shooting of ‘Viswaroobam’ under Kamal’s direction and ‘Thuppakki’ in Murugadoss’ Direction is going on in Mumbai.
Apart from that, the shooting of the movies like ‘Thaandavam’ under Vijay’s direction is going on near ECR in Chennai. The filming of Sooraj’s Alex Pandian starts from Sunday, near the Chennai Airport in a bungalow. The shooting of the K.V.Anand’s ‘Maatraan’ is held in Ooty and many other movies have recommenced their work.
