Vishal happy to star in films having multiple heroines

Vishal appears to be getting very ‘lucky’ of late. No, we aren’t talking about his recent record at the box-office which leaves a lot to be desired. The talented actor’s last couple of films Avan Ivan and Vedi failed to do wonders at the box-office last year. The actor is presently concentrating in his home production Samaran which has the youthful Sunaina and an ageing Trisha as his heroines.

Vishal’s ‘luck’ appears to be playing a major role in helping him to bag films which have more than one heroine. Some time back, he starred opposite three heroines in Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai (TVP) which had Sarah Jane, Neetu Chandra and Tanushree Dutta. At present, his upcoming film Samaran has him pairing up opposite long-time buddy and actress Trisha for the first time on-screen.

Queried as to whether these films are deliberately planned, Vishal says: “I don’t play any role in seleting the heroines in my films. It just happens; in Samaran, I think my pairing with Trisha would look good on-screen as we have known each other for the past many years. Director Thiru felt that it’d be better to have two heroines in the film and opted for Sunaina too in the film.

“We have been shooting in Bangkok for the past month or so. I have found Sunaina as an extremely talented actress. If TVP was a romantic comedy, Samaran would be out as a thriller to keep audience on tenterhooks. We are planning to wrap up the shooting soon so as to release the film in April to target the summer holidays and the studet community,” concludes Vishal.
