Her killer-looks, hourglass figure and a near-perfect face almost hides her other talents such as playback singing and dancing skills. Actress Andrea is a bundle of talents who hasn’t yet found her footing in Kollywood. Part of the reason is that she never wanted a career as an actress and didn’t pursue it as vigorously as some of our front-line actresses.
After debuting as Sarathkumar’s heroine in Gautham Menon’s Pachchaikili Muthucharam, Andrea didn’t star in many movies except for Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan and Venkat Prabhu’s Ajith-starrer Mankatha. The singer in Andrea needs no introduction as she has been churning out one hit or the other at regular intervals. Her song Idhuvarai Illadha… from Venkat prabhu’s Goa which had music by Yuvan Shankar Raja became a huge hit.
Now, the actress who also performs many stage-plays and dance recitals, is presently in the process of making a music album. She expects to complete the work by July and release the music album by August. “I have always thought of myself as a composer. In fact, I’m planning to bring out my own music album which is likely to be ready by July this year,” says an excited Andrea.
She is presently starring in the upcoming Kamal Hassan-starrer Vishwaroopam which also has U.S.-based Pooja Kumar in the lead role opposite Kamal Hassan. Andrea is quite happy to be starring in a Kamal Hassan-starrer and says she would never forget the moment she signed up the film. As many other actress who have worked with Kamal Hassan in the past and went ga-ga ove his attitude, Andrea says that she found him so cool.
“Despite his multiple tasks in the film (Kamal Hassan happens to be the producer and director of the film besides playing the lead role in it), he appeared very cool and never one I saw him losing his composure on the sets which is a great thing,” concludes Andrea.
