Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is said to be busy at present with the composing of the ‘theme song’ of actor Ajith’s upcoming film Billa-2. The film has raised huge expectation amid Ajith’s fans and the recent release of the film’s posters as part of the advertisement campaign has only fuelled the fan’s visualization of how grand the movie would be.
Ajith, who looked a bit plump in his last release Mankatha which was also his landmark 50th film in his career, sports a sleek, stylish look in Billa-2 of the posters are any indication to go by. The film is directed by Chakri Taloti, whose claim to fame was the Kamal-starrer Unnaipol Oruvan in 2009. Vishnuvardhan, who directed Ajith in Billa (2007), is said to be getting ready to direct Ajith’s upcoming film after Billa-2.
For the record, Billa-2 has beauty queen Parvathy Omanakuttan paired up opposite Ajith wherein she would be making her debut in Tamil films as heroine. The film also has Brazilian sizzler Bruna Abdullah playing an important role. Deviating from the unwritten rule vis-à-vis sequel films, Billa-2 would actually be tracing the origin and the transformation of a commoner into a dreaded don called Billa.
Yuvan has reportedly composed three songs for the film. He is now said to be in U.S. to work with Taloti to compose the all-important theme song of Billa-2. Yuvan has recorded in his social networking site Twitter that ‘Work is on to compose the theme song of the film…three songs have already been recorded with one more to go….’
A distribution firm by name G.K. Media has reportedly acquired the distribution and release rights of the film abroad for a whopping cost of Rs.5.3 crores.
