Udhayanidhi decides to promote newcomers in films

Producer-distributor Udhayanidhi is one of the few from the burgeoning family of Kalaignar in the film industry who is praised by many for his work ethics. Son of former deputy chief minister Stalin, Udhayanidhi is all set to make is debut as hero with the upcoming film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi opposite Hansika. The film is being directed by Rajesh, who has made hit films such as Siva Manasula Sakthi and Bas Engira Baskaran.

Udhayanidhi has consciously taken a decision to make films from now onwards with small budget. The decision is likely to help many aspiring film-makers who have wonderful scripts but don’t have the financial strength to implement their plans. With his casual attitude sans any political affiliation, Udhayanidhi has earned a good name from the industry folks.

His mega-budget 7am Arivu is all set to hit the screens on Deepavali. With a star cast of Suriya and Shruti Haasan and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film is expected to do well. Udhayanidhi’s decision to promote small-budget films is likely to aid many budding directors who don’t have the requisite back-up and a popular banner to publicise their films.

His next production venture would be directed by Seenu Ramasamy, the award-winning director of the film Tenmerku Paruvakkatru. Apparently inspired by a script narrated to him by Seenu, Udhayanidhi has decided to produce the film with an entire cast of newcomers.
