Chirpy Piaa Bajpai is in high spirits as she is said to be planning to make her Bollywood debut soon. One thing is for sure: unlike the many actresses from South who slug it out in Bollywood, Piaa won’t face the language barrier as Hindi is her mother tongue.
She was impressive in the role of a journo who loves Jiiva in the successful Ko early this year. Despite the fact that Piaa’s character ‘dies’ in the film at the stroke of intermission, she managed to win appreciation for her role. In fact, she couldn’t bear her on-screen ‘death’ during the film’s premiere and sobbed uncontrollably and had to be consoled by those around her!
She recently made her debut in Malayalm films. Some time back, Piaa reportedly met a high-profile Bollywood film-maker who had promised her that he would consider casting her in his upcoming project. The film-maker, though, has reportedly told Piaa to keep the news under wraps for some reasons.
Queried about her Bollywood dreams, Piaa says that “I can only confirm that I’d be starring in a Hindi film soon. I can’t reveal more at this juncture; the name of the hero, the banner and the director would be intimated at a latter date. Unless a formal announcement to this effect is made by the producer, I’m not entitled to divulge any detail about the film,” says a smiling piaa.
