I have a dream script ready for Rajini, claims Perarasu

The ‘mantra’ (or motto) of many in the Tamil film industry appears to be to align himself or herself in any possible manner with a film starring superstar Rajinikanth in the lead. Directors want to make a film with him in the lead while actresses, right from veteran to newcomers, are ready to part with ‘anything’ to get to pair up opposite the country’s ‘global superstar’.

Even Cheran, who never fails to criticize Rajini from time to time, has opined that he would love to make an ‘extra-ordinary’ film with Rajini in the lead. The latest addition to the list of directors willing to direct Rajini is our own Perarasu. The bespectacled director, who has been away from the limelight for quite a long time now, is silently making ‘Tiruthani’ with Bharath and Sunaina in the lead.

Taking part at a school event in Erode, Perarasu gave away notebooks and stationery items to more than 2,000 students (in his own cost). Speaking to newsmen later, he said “I toiled in the industry for 15 long years before I got my bog break. Vijay didn’t give me a ‘chance’ to make my debut film Tirupachi but be gave me my life itself. I shall always remain grateful to him for that. ‘Tiruthani’ is progressing briskly and would release on Deepavali. After ‘Tiruthani’, my next film would be ‘Sivagangai’.

“Like millions, I’m also a die-hard fan of superstar Rajini. I have watched each film of him at least 4 of 5 times in theatres. My dream is to direct Rajini in at least in one film in my career. This is not just a dream; it has been at the bottom of my heart for many years now. In fact, I have a perfect ‘script’ to suit Rajini’s style which I’d be telling him soon after he finishes Rana,” concludes Perarasu.
