Thoonganagaram, director by debutant Gaurav, is all set to hit screens soon. The movie has Vimal, Bharani, Nishanth and Gaurav himself playing the lead characters. Vimal plays the role of videographer Kannan, who runs a small shop.
Thoonganagaram is a Madurai based story, but not like the regular run-of-the-mill commercial masala movies that portray the city as violent and gory. Gaurav thanks Dhayanidhi Alagiri for being very supportive in having produced his script which he promises to be a full-length comedy.
According to the director, the story is about four guys, their experiences, the people they meet and the problems that arise.
The humour is part of the story and audiences from Madurai and its surrounding areas will surely relate to the dialect and style.
