And again, Karan’s potentiality has been washed out as ‘Kanagavel Kakka’ doesn’t establish a perfect show for him. The film is nothing but a blatant recollection of those flicks that starkly based on socio-commercial films.

Say for instances, the film has lots of similarities from Rajnikanth’s ‘Naan Sigappu Manithan’, Vijayakanth starrer ‘Ramana’ and so on.

It looks like Karan feels himself special for having chosen unusual roles that in no way takes him to the next level.

‘Kanagavel Kakka’ features Karan as a Tawali working in court, where he comes across various cases that favors rich groups against the needy seeking justice. Nothing seems to be indifferent in plot as the protagonist starts handling justice in his own terms by bumping off every unjust baddies. Back in time, a flashback reveals that he had a bad time as a atrocious politician (Kota Srinivasa Rao) had stamped out his family members.

Out on predictable lines, the second hour is all about how the protagonist seeks revenge by hatching smart plans.

We have some advice for Karan. It’s good to witness his challenging attempts, but it’s better if he can choose some unparalleled scripts instead of trying to ape mass commercial heroes. He could have avoided shaking legs with his ladylove in the foreign locations as it trivializes his image. During some sequences, he really gets on for a better exhibition by emoting stupendously. One such sequence can be his plans to get hold of Kota Srinivasa Rao while he is munching Biryani amidst of fasting.

Actress Hari Priya hasn’t got anything to prove here as she does the same-old acts of running behind hero and falling for him. Kota Srinivasa Rao is at his best and deserves special mention with Sampath falls short of expectations.

Vijay Anthony’s music is most uncollectible than ever as none of the tunes are even worth hearing once.

This film may be received well by few groups that still adore heroes fighting against injustice while others have got nothing to do with this.

What works: Karan, Kota Srinivasa Rao

What doesn’t work: Old story, boring screenplay and technical arenas…
