Kola Kolaya Mundhirika – Tamil Movie Review

Production: Giriguja Films International
Direction: Madhumitha
Star-casts: Karthik Kumar, Shika, Jayaram, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Anand Raj
Music: Selva Ganesh

The film opens with a prologue of a house before couple of decades. Divya Darshini and her husband are Zamindars. Their servants are leaving the house. Her husband’s step brother (Anand Raj) demands for a diamond.

Delhi Ganesh is the servant working in his house and all the goods are delivered through. Mother and Krishnan child is sent to Krishnan Temple since it’s a Krishna Jayanthi. Pandiarajan is the lawyer and says he can handle it.

Anand Raj brings two persons and he kills them. His wife is killed and the child escapes from there.

Krish (Karthik Kumar) and Veni (Shika) are carrying out the conniving act separately. Veni is raised by her foster father (M.S. Bhaskar). They meet together for the first time in Marriage hall stealing the compliment money. They tease him and MS Bhaskar is caught by Karthik during a jewellery theft.

Delhi Ganesh is shown in Hospital since he is in coma for a very long time. He suddenly tells the number of a person, it’s none other than Karthik Kumar himself. He puzzles him up saying that there is a chair one of them carrying a precious diamond. Anand Babu always listens to the plan.

Now, he seeks the help of Veni to claim that she is the daughter and take the diamond. But somehow, Anand Raj kidnaps Veni and opens the chair to find nothing over there.

Karthik saves Veni and finds a chit that says ‘DOMMI KUPPAM, TULUKAANAM’ (Radha Ravi). They run to that place for finding the treasure and what follows next is a comedy oriented journey of finding the treasure.

Karthi Kumar does justice to his role and newcomer Veni too tries to come up with a convincing act. Jayaram has already performed a funny-cop role and during most of the time it reminds us off his previous acts. Radha Ravi as a local gang don is average on his lead.

The entire film is all about comedy and fun filled moments and keeps us entertaining. Only one song crooned by SPB and Chitra is good and listenable and rest of the songs is not so good. Camera works and editing is not up to the mark.

Though Singam is releasing next week and there are other big releases, this film will be doing an average show on parallel tracks without being affected by them.
