The latest in the list of Telugu super hits being dubbed in Tamil is Ontari; Aishwarya Creations is dubbing this film as Subramaniyam in Tamil.
Starring Gopichand and Bhavana, Ontari was an action bonanza that did excellent business throughout Andhra Pradesh. With this film, the Bhavana mania that swept across Kerala and Tamil Nadu caught up with Andhra Pradesh too, and this is only Bhavana’s first Telugu film! Subramaniyam is expected to do well as it has got all cinematic elements that thrill Kollywood audience, plus the film has Bhavana, a much-sought after Kollywood heroine.
The film has beautiful music by Mani Sharma. Its supporting cast comprises several actors well known to Kollywood including Sayaji Shinde, Ashish Vidyarthi and Rajiv.
With very few movies releasing in March, many such Tollywood commercial entertainers could soon be dubbed in Tamil. But they face stiff competition from Rajni’s Engal Arasan, which is the revamped and dubbed version of the Bollywood multi-starrer Khoon Ka Karz.
