Jeyam Ravi is shooting for Peranmai in a relaxed manner.
The reason being that his long-pending movie Dham Dhoom is finally over and ready for release.
Says Jeyam Ravi: ‘We began Dham Dhoom with great optimism. Cinematographer-director Jeeva led us. Unfortunately his untimely death during the shooting shocked every one of us. There were doubts whether the movie would ever be completed’.
However Jeeva’s associate Manikandan stepped in and the movie is finally over.
‘Dham Dhoom is our tribute to Jeeva,’ says Jeyam Ravi.
Harris Jeyaraj’s catchy musical score and the excellent performance from co-stars including Lakshmi Rai, Kangana Ranawat and Jeyaram are the major highlights of the film, he adds.
A happy Ravi says: ‘I am happy that audience don’t typecast me as an actor who can do only action and romantic films. I have the liberty to work in any genre of film. People love to see me on screen which I consider as boon’. ‘Directors play a prominent role in a movie’s success. I want to be a director’s actor and contribute my best on screen,’ he adds.
